The rules of the board! If they are followed, all is well!
1. Respect your fellow role-players: No flaming or harassing another role-player. This includes behavior that makes others feel uncomfortable. Respect peoples' opinions, and treat the other members, staff or not, as you'd want them to treat you. We're a friendly community, here.
2. No God-modding: Sometimes, people get a little carried away when role-playing, and this can lead to something called God-modding. This is controlling the actions or words of another player's character without their consent. This is something that won't be tolerated on this site.
3. No Metagaming: Occasionally, you'll talk about plots with another player Out of Character. Sometimes, you'll want to use this knowledge to your advantage, so you have your character know it because you do. The problem here is that your character never learned it themselves, and this is metagaming: the act of using Out of Character knowledge In Character. This is a big no-no.
4. "IDTHS": "IDTHS," or "I Don't Take Hits Syndrome," is something that occasionally plagues the players. It is important to realize, however, that no character is perfect, and they are limited by their stats. You can not dodge every attack thrown at you, and not all of your attacks will land. "IDTHS" is considered a form of God-modding, and is another big no-no.
5. Cursing!: Dirty mouths are expected, and as such, use of them is acceptable. Just, please, don't use them every other word.
6. Complaints: All complaints toward players, staff, or situations IC or OOC must be PMed to staff.
7. Character Approval: Before you can role-play, your character must be approved.
8. Killing Characters: You may not kill another player's character without their written approval.
9. Stat Cheating?!: Another big no-no. Don't cheat on your stats. Staff will be keeping check. While it isn't required, it is highly recommended all players keep a record of their stat gains.
10. Historical Characters: It is very much preferred that you make your own character on the board. If you wish to use a historical character, you may do so, though you may not play a daimyo.
If any of these rules are broken, the offender will be issued a warning. Continued offenses will result in a temporary ban. If you are issued a warning, and you go on without continuing to break the rules, you'll have a clean slate, all over again! The bio approval phrase is "The enemy is at Honnouji!"
