As Constantine predicted, the outlaws that charged towards the demon got diced by the skillful wielding of his guan dao. It did not really matter to him when he was attacked at the front or at the back, he managed all of them. Truly he was a demon in all aspects.
Some of the outlaws started backing down towards Constantine, thinking of him that he was sort of a friend. But the sight of them just made Constantine's stomach lurch. These imbeciles, cannot do anything against a demon, now tried to shove another person to defeat him? They need to pay for their sin, Constantine thought. For all of the people they robbed and killed without mercy.
He struck down the outlaw nearest to him using his katana, felling him down with a clean cut to the shoulder. Seeing this, two other outlaws attacked him, but he just parried them using his staff, and with quick turn-around, the katana he was holding ws agin stained with the blood of other people, as the guts of the two people he struck came out of their bodies. He then charged at the two remaining beside him, whipping them full-force with his staff, setting them flying to the river. Seeing there were no remaining people except him and the demon, Constantine just walked for some distance from the house, and then struck the ground behind him with his staff. A pitfall revealed itself after the strike, which is sufficient for Constantine not to be attacked by the demon within that distance.
"I am not your match, even given my mental presence," Constantine quipped. "But when we meet again, I am sure that I will give you the fight that you would never forget."

As Constantine walked into the house, he searched for the things that the outlaws robbed from the foreigner he was expecting for. It was too bad that the outlaws had killed him before Constantine came to meet him, but it was the turn of events and he can not alter it. The only link remaining to maintain his knowledge about his home might lie within the belongings of that man.
After some minutes scrimmaging through the booty of the outlaws, he found what he was looking for: a brown bag filled with clothes and some diaries and old newsletters. He carried the bag on his shoulder as he prepared to walk out of the house. But that was stopped by a swing of the guan dao, the wood that collided with it breaking down due to the force of the swing. But that revealed something that Constantine had expected to see when raiding a house of outlaws: traps. Traps everywhere. And the demon was standing on a simple pitfall trap that had not collapsed yet. What's more, he saw some more outlaws going towards the house. They had seen the loathsome atmosphere that surrounded the house, and they decided to attack the demon. There is no escape for him this time, but Constantine kept his cool, and steeled himself that he would get over this.
He took a simple fighting stance, holding his katana sideways at the front with a somewhat lowered right arm, and his staff at the back with a slightly raised left arm. He then said, "I know that I could not defeat a demon like you, but I am fairly confident that I would get out of this alive."

It took some days before Constantine finally reached this place. It ws rumored that another foreigner had been shipwrecked, and as it turns out, he was also an Englishman. He went here to look for this man, to meet him, to inquire what has become of England when he left. The loss of his father and mother, who had been well-to-do with mercantile and naval business in London, would mean the collapse of the Lawrence family, since his brothers were still young and unable to do business. That prospect had worried Constantine a lot.
"I hope my brethren were in good hands," he thought as he sought for the man. But when he finally saw him, he was fighting off some outlaws. Drawing his katana and his staff, he tried to help, but the man was killed and the outlaws ran away even before he was engaged. His fury sparking due to this moment of inability to help, he chased the outlaws until he arrived at a house just beside a river. He had seen one of the outlaws enter the house, and so he decided to break in, to recover the items that the outlaws took from the foreigner. But before he could enter the house, he saw another man, very muscular in form, pass by it. This seemed to alarm some outlaws, and they all came out, swarming the man. This would be critical, even if the strength of the man was overpowering, given his form, surely he would not withstand a lot of enemies. Constantine then came out of his hiding place and tried to attack, but for some reason he glanced at the man as he equipped his armor, but the outlaws just watched on, seemingly confident. That would turn out to be their demise, as the man turned into a demon after he donned on his armor, and cut them down with ease.
Knowing the outlaws would be defeated easily, Constantine just watched on as the man incessantly cleaved up the imbeciles with his guan dao. At the end, all of the outlaws, numbering 50 or so, had their bodies chopped up in grotesque positions while the man is relatively unscathed. Knowing that there's no outlaw left standing there, Constantine passed by the man, saying, in Japanese, "Demon, if they did not just stare at you as you donned your armor, you might have been defeated. But they are imbeciles, all of them." He then walked into the house, and, for some reason, thrust his monk's staff held with his left hand towards one direction, and continued to walk in. After he was lost from the view of the demon, a man collapsed, his skull bashed through and his brains coming out.

Constantine did not seem to care about Nanami's introduction without her family name. If this should be maintained a secret, then why not respect her wishes for it to be secret? He himself should not present himself as someone working for Chosokabe Motochika, as the reputation of the man seemed not so good.
Pondering about the words Shoji had spoken, that should be a good idea since currently only Nanami was effective on ranged combat, and so, they had to protect her at all costs. On that aspect Constantine knew that he could effectively block any guards' moves for an enough time that will enable Nanami to shoot her cannons, but pondering about the corpses, he hoped that he could last long enough.
Looking towards the three doors, Constantine said, "How about going for the left door?" There was nothing that could back up his feeling about the left door, and so he decided to drop that suggestion when there are many votes on the other doors.

Constantine was somewhat surprised by the number of people who seek the treasure in this castle. And apparently, as the woman spoke, they are all here for the treasure. Looks like he'll have to reconsider on getting a ship constructed. The plunder might not be enough for the five of them.
"The name's Constantine, family name Lawrence," he said to the party. At the other woman's thoughts about the place being nasty, Constantine just pointed at the corpses at his back with his staff. That should be evident that there are guards in the castle somewhere and they should be alert. Constantine's katana had already been drawn on his right hand, and he held the staff on his left hand.
"I am ready to go, but I'll wait until the other people are," Constantine sighed. The other person seemed that he was too focused on wooing the women that he might not be ready when disaster strikes in.

The dawn of the day had found Constantine crossing the swamps of Satsuma. Someone had told him that a treasure may be found in the abandoned castle of Numa, and many had come to here and not survive to tell some tale about it. Basically he had no problems on endangering himself for something that does not seem to be true, and the extent of treasure there seems to foot the bill to build a ship back to England, so he decided to cast his lot on this place.
The swamps of Satsuma were very miry, and the insects around here were sweeping towards Constantine, but it did not matter for him. As he inched forward towards Numa Castle, there was an increasing chance that treasure trove might be real, as were its guards, evidenced by the number of bodies lying on the swamps. Constantine thought that for the bodies to become numerous, the guards should pack a punch, and the plunder greater. After some hours, he finally reached the legendary abandoned castle of Numa. As he moved closer to the castle, he noticed a woman also near the castle. Maybe she was also there looking for the treasure. But how could she withstand the forces of the guards that has swallowed too many travelers?
He then moved towards the woman and spoke. Notwithstanding his lineage, his Japanese sounded almost perfect, but sometimes an English accent appeared now and then. "Excuse me, miss, are you also looking for the treasure in this castle?"

Name: Constantine Lawrence Faction: Chosokabe Ethnicity: English Age: 17 Gender: Male Height: 5' 6" Weight: 90 lbs Eye Color: Blue Hair Color: Blond Appearance:Constantine looked as if he was somewhat not of an opposing figure; he was very slim that someone might think that he was always on a fast. Staring at his sapphire-blue eyes would make someone think that he was constantly searching for something. Although he wears customarily Japanese clothes when on special events, he always wore Western-style clothes elsewhere. Personality:Constantine had always conducted himself fairly good with every Japanese he encounters, but it could be said that his personality is always somewhat reserved. He was a man of few words, which might be related to his foreign lineage, but when he speaks, one would think that he was a Japanese native. He understood the nuances of the Japanese language fairly well that he could conduct lengthy discussions with others, but he would not due to his character. But he is always dependable in every situation as he prefers to act first before speaking. History:Constantine was born in an English family aboard a ship bound to France, and so it was thought that the baby would conduct himself better at sea, and was destined to become a captain of a fleet. At a very young age he was thought on how to use a sword, which very well continued until the family sailed to Spain when Constantine was 13, on the hype of the first circumnavigation around the world by Juan Sebastian de Elcano. There he was instructed on how to read naval maps, which culminated in a mission set by his parents himself to emulate the victory done by de Elcano, when Constantine was 14. The Lawrence family boarded the galleon San Gabriel and set sail from La Coruna, Spain. Initially the journey was successful, having crossed the Atlantic Ocean without any disturbance. But as they crossed the Pacific, they were hit by a storm, and a lightning strike burned a mast of the galleon. Fearing that the galleon will sink at an instant, Constantine's parents made him board a small boat. But as the boat is lowered, the mast struck by lightning collapsed, and the galleon sunk. Fortunately the boat landed in an upright manner on the ocean, and Constantine is safe. Constantine's boat steadily drifted on the ocean until it hits land on the island of Shikoku. The people who were on the shore were a friendly folk, fortunately, and helped him recover and rest. When he recovered from the shipwreck, he found out that the current shipbuilding technology in this island could help him get back to Europe, and the daimyo here, Lord Chosokabe Motochika, had the most advanced art of building ships. And so he studied the Japanese language to gain contact with the daimyo, and he conducted himself better in the daimyo's lands such that he was appointed as one of the Chosokabe's regular soldiers. Now he had became enamored with this land that he planned to always visit here when he successfully leave here, but since chaos had ensued in this land, Europe might have to wait. He will fight for the continued glory of the Chosokabe, whatever the cost might be.
