Iemasa would have barely moved as he stumbled out, and he just let the others do their thing with the chest. It didn't seem like anyone could get it open right now, so maybe the secret to unlocking the damn thing was further in the castle. In that case, he wasn't opposed to continuing, 'cuz it probably meant more loot.
"I agree with the lady," Iemasa said with a shrug, making his way over to the middle chamber doors. He just assumed the others would be alright with it.

The guy displayed some serious might, having taken out the birds he did despite taking that beating. As he fell to a knee, Iemasa would rip the sleeves off his hakama, and hand them to the guy, just before the strong woman through the chest to him. He'd catch it and set it down, before addressing his team.
"You, let me patch you up." That was to the pessimist. He would kneel next to the guy and start bandaging his arms, using the ripped sleeves from his kimono as makeshift tourniquets. During, he would turn to the gunner kid. "You got a good shooting arm on you, kid."

Iemasa seemed happy with their luck so far. They'd taken out a huge chunk of the enemies, especially with that woman's weapon. And boy did she chuck it far.
Not questioning the pessimist's command, seeing as he found it logical, Iemasa would to as he suggested and stood behind the man, taking aim over his shoulder. He would wait until the birds were either close or in a clump, before firing.
"Don't strain yourself too much, big guy."
That may have sounded like sarcasm, but it certainly wasn't.

Iemasa would block as many of the claws as he could to protect himself, and he ended up getting his arms covered in cuts. He would curse loudly, roaring as he took aim once again at the mass. The officer was just about to fire, until he heard Naotora warn them of her fucking ball-and-chain flying through the air. He cursed once again, pushing Maki out of the way and then holding himself against the closest wall. From there, he would point his rifle toward the crows and fire off as many times as he could before they would reach the group again.
"Fucking crazy ass birds..."

Son. Of. A. Bitch. Iemasa cursed at the murder of crow-things that appeared, and immediately took aim. If it wasn't obvious, the guy at the front had to just rub it in their fucking faces.
"What the fuck are these things?!"
He would take aim at the group before it dispersed, trying to get off as many multiple-kill-shots as he could. Other gunner better be good with that weapon of his, or Iemasa was going to kill a bitch.

Iemasa just watched the two do their thing. He was going to stay behind with the pessimist and the other gunman. His rifle would be pointed across the room, and he would just watch. He couldn't do a whole lot from here, but he could protect the two if anything came at them from above. He didn't like anyone from the get-go, but if they died, it meant he'd have to go through that gauntlet, and he was not up for that.
"Be careful up there."

Iemasa just eyed the door as it pulled him in, and he'd kick back at it to see exactly what it was. If it didn't do anything, he'd just shrug, before observing the woman's display of might. That ball had to be heavy; it was as large as Iemasa's torso. His jaw dropped as she tossed it across the hall.
"Wow. What banner do you serve under, Miss?" A lack of banner meant she'd be willing to join the Oda. That would be something.

Iemasa laughed as the man spoke angrily. If he really wanted to right now, he could kill this guy with no effort. His trigger finger was itching, and he was about to pull the damn thing until he heard another voice speak up. Another kid with a gun popped up, and Iemasa turned and pointed the rifle at him now, not really changing up his motion. The gun would be mere inches away from the kids head.
"Don't give me a reason to shoot you. I'd rather not."
With that, he'd pull the gun back and put it over his shoulder. It seemed like all these people decided where they wanted to go already, so he would follow along.

Iemasa normally did find himself with a bow in his hands, given that he preferred the rifle. Hell, he was a rifleman, that should have said everything. However, Lord Nobunaga requested all men improve upon their archery, and he couldn't really complain. Long-range combat was his thing, and he was going to show everyone here that, even though he didn't have a rifle, he could be just as effective as always.
Taking a bow in his hands, Iemasa headed out to the range. He aimed out at his target, a dummy 100 yards away, and nocked an arrow. He pulled the string back and fired without thinking much. The arrow soared through the air, grazing past his target by a small margin, but enough to consider a disappoint. He frowned, realizing that maybe he did need this. His aim wasn't as impeccable as he'd hoped. So, he nocked yet another arrow, this time taking a small moment to concentrate before firing. A small exhale and he held his breath, releasing the arrow through the wind. It would hit its mark this time, striking the dummy in the center of the head. Iemasa smiled, realizing where his fault laid. He just had to concentrate, and he could hit his mark every time. So he did. Before every shot, Iemasa would concentrate, just for a moment. And every time his arrow soared through the air, it would strike the dummy's head. By the end of the first trial, Iemasa had hit 19 out of 20 targets. He was hoping for 20 out of 20, but hey, shit happens, sometimes.
Moving on to the next trial, it seemed Iemasa had to hit moving targets, now. Men with padded armor would be running across the field, and his job was to peg their legs and take them out, letting no more than two pass... couldn't be too hard, right?
Nocking an arrow, Iemasa took aim just as one of the men took off running. He aimed for him, taking into account things like wind and distance, as well as where he was going to be at the time of impact. Concentrating heavily, Iemasa released his arrow, and it soared right into the man's padded calf armor, and he fell to the ground. That was exactly the result he'd wanted, and it made him happy. He just needed to do that a few more times, and he would be good.
The rest of the trial, Iemasa would take time before each shot. He'd watch the men as they ran, releasing the arrows at the time he thought most effective. Every time, it would hit them anywhere from the calf to the thigh, and one-by-one, they would all fall. Iemasa didn't miss a single shot that time. This just further asserted the fact that he was an excellent ranged fighter. A man like him could not be easily replaced by the Oda, that was for sure.

Iemasa was yet another who sought the riches that lay within the castle. Its location didn't bother him, nor did the rumors of death that surrounded it. Hell, the actual dead that surrounded it didn't really get to him. He just held his rifle over his shoulder, approaching the castle with that same smirk he always had on his face. Trudging through the mud, it wouldn't be long before Iemasa made it to the castle.
"So you all want the riches too, eh?" he asked, laughing a little. Without much hesitation, he pointed the rifle at Shou, then Maki, then Naotora. "Any funny business, I'll put a bullet between your eyes."
He was so friendly.

Iemasa assumed she was collecting what was rightfully her's, so he didn't say anything. He would just watch, and keep his gun pointed at anyone who tried to stop her. The officer noticed someone coming down and making a ruckus, and immediately, his attention turned to that guy. So he was the one who neglected to pay his merc.
"Look, buddy, she's taking what belongs to her, and I'll be confiscating a bit of your funds as a tax for Lord Nobunaga. You got any complaints, you can take it up with a bullet between your eyes. Sound good? It sure does to me."
A smiled crossed Iemasa's lips and he pocketed a good deal of the coins, before ushering the woman out. He'd want her out of there before himself, because he had a gun. No one wanted to fuck with a gun, especially in the hands of an Oda rifleman.

"Just how I like 'em."
The officer followed in after the door, gun raised. He would observe the surroundings, looking over every corner to make sure they wouldn't be surprise attacked or some crap, and he would keep a look-out for the scar-face guy. There was no way he could hide like that.
"So you guys got a vault or is there going to be money everywhere? That'd be nice to know."
If there was money everywhere, Iemasa might be tempted to take a little somethin', considering these guys seemed to operate without the law in mind, anyway. Couldn't really hurt.

Iemasa cocked a brow at the sight of the building, eyes passing from it to the girl. This was definitely some shady shit, but fighting for your life wasn't exactly a crime. He didn't know why he was going to do this, but he was going to help her regardless.
"I don't know exactly what kind of work you're getting yourself into, but I won't ask. Let's just get in there and get your money." If he caught some lord of a crime ring, it was just a bonus, right now, so a lot could work out in his favor. He could help out a "damsel in distress" of sorts, and maybe even get a promotion because of it.
The officer brought his gun up, pointing at the door. "How hostile should I expect these guys to be, exactly?" He was hoping for a fight. He wanted to be able to shoot some bastards.

Iemasa followed suit, his long legs taking him along at the girl's pace with no problem. He may not have been interested in her whole story, but he would listen just the same. Who knows, maybe he could have ended up finding it interesting? It wouldn't hurt to know what he was fighting for, anyway.
"If money's proven tough, I can understand doing shady work. But why not find a Lord to serve under? Your pay is guaranteed for your services in such a line of work."
He wasn't trying to advertise or make Lord Nobunaga sound like the greatest man to ever grace the country, but he was. That's just how it worked. And, it wasn't much of a lie, either. Iemasa had never gone a week without getting his pay.

It wouldn't have hurt for her to have mentioned that a little sooner. Now he kind of looked like an ass. He didn't entirely mind that, but still. Saving face, and all that. "Well, I'll tell you what. You take me to this guy, I'll get you your money."
He wasn't joking in the slightest. He should have been, considering that all cost him his sake, earlier. He did, though, go to the counter and take up the coins she left behind. If her pay was less than that, he would have just given it back to her. But, three weeks of pay sounded like a lot of money, and he wasn't going to let someone in his territory get ripped off like that.
"After you, m'lady."

Iemasa shrugged. He had a lot of options. He could kill the guy, shoot him in between the eyes for being such a scumbag. He could beat on the guy till he submitted and gave up the money. Hell, he could even just ask for it! That was part of the fun, not really knowing.
"I guess we'll find out."
The officer let out a small laugh, eyes scanning around the crowd. Scar on his upper-left cheek... that'd stick out. So obviously the guy wasn't at the front of the crowd, so he'd have to change his methods up a little. Intimidation. Threats.
"Alright, here's how we'll do this: you come out now, I won't hurt you. You make me find you, I'll make you hand over the money. You fight me, I'll shoot you." He shrugged. It was that simple. "You think Lord Nobunaga got this far from not paying his soldiers?"

Iemasa cocked an eyebrow. So this person wasn't paid for her work..? That was the issue. Now Iemasa understood, patting her on the shoulder with a smile. Time to remedy the issue in its entirety, then. "Ahh, I see. Well, you didn't get paid, huh? So, let's get you your money." He assumed that was her cue to turn around.
The Oda officer grinned, raising his rifle. It was pointed across the crowd, and he eyed every single person there. "Who owes you the money, then?" It was a good excuse for him to let off some steam.

"Woah, hold up," Iemasa began, putting a hand on the smaller person's shoulder as they turned to leave. He had an issue here, and he wasn't going to just let it dissipate like nothing. Sure, he was going to accept the money, but he wanted his point to get across.
"You don't just walk off like that. Got it? This is an issue, involving assaulting an Oda officer over petty issues."
He held his rifle at his side, waiting for a reaction. He was ready to shoot at whoever tried to pull some bullshit moves, which Iemasa was all too used to.

Iemasa was in a small village outside Owari, trying to enjoy some of his down-time. He was seated in a tavern, sipping on a cup of sake. A tussle seemed to be growing behind him, but he was trying to avoid it as long as he could. He couldn't even make out what they were fighting about, because they were so loud and obnoxious. It ended up getting on his nerves, though he was trying so hard not to get involved.
And then someone got pushed into his back.
Angry, Iemasa spun out of his seat, slamming his cup into someone's head. He pulled his rifle off his back, aiming it up to the ceiling and firing off a single round from his rifle. Everyone who was fighting halted, turning their attention to the Oda officer, who was clearly displeased.
"Alright... what the fuck are you guys going on about? 'cuz I was enjoying a pretty good cup of sake - those are hard to come by."

Post by Tokugawa Iemasa on Feb 17, 2014 19:11:52 GMT -7
Lord Nobunaga has recently decided he wanted to have his men partake in a tournament, of sorts. Everyone was expected to go in and kick some ass, taking on one person at a time until they couldn't take on anyone else. It was a good idea, given how everyone had this alpha-male complex, and it could really put some people in their place. Not to mention, those who did the best were going to look really good in front of their Lord, and there wasn't a single person here who didn't want that.
Rifle in hand, Iemasa stepped into the ring of people, grinning smugly at the crowd. Some people cheered at his entry, others booed him. It was to be expected, given the nature of things. "Come on! Who wants to take me on?!" He challenged every person there directly, before a man with a katana stepped in. "What are you gonna do, shoot me, pretty boy?" The crowd whooped at his entry, and Iemasa just laughed, his rifle resting on his shoulder now. "Nah, I'm just gonna smack you around with this bad boy." With that, the fight begun.
Bearing his katana, the opponent rushed forward, aiming to slash his weapon down across Iemasa's face. The rifleman stepped forward, bring his rifle up and swatting the blade quickly out of the way and ramming it into the guy's cheek, causing him to stumble to his side. The guy cursed, quickly regaining his composure and slashing at Iemasa's belly. He brought his rifle down, blocking the blade, and slammed his foot into the guy's chin, causing him to fall back onto the floor. Before he could get up, the rifleman stepped on his chest and put the gun to his neck. "Bang." Though he didn't really fire, the humiliation was there, and the victory was evident. Iemasa stepped off the man's chest, and he roared with anger, threatening to strike him as his back was turned, but the man knew he was defeated and sunk back into the crowd, angry.
A second opponent stepped into the ring, cracking his neck. The man held a spear, so he had reach on his side, which Iemasa noted, but it seemed like it didn't affect him in the least. The man charged forward, thrusting his spear for Iemasa's chest. He responded swiftly, stepping to the side and dashing forward, striking the man's diaphragm with the tip of the rifle, and then swinging it upward, bashing the man's nose in. He roared in pain, bringing his spear around in a wide arc, before stabbing it forward several times in rapid succession. Iemasa blocked each of the blows, as he was much quicker than the opponent, and finally ended up catching the spear. He snapped it in half, slamming his rifle into its center, and took the bladed end and launched it into the man's thigh. One shove pushed the man back and out of the ring. That was two down.
Without warning, a third man came into the ring, slamming his club into the back of Iemasa's head. The rifleman fell to the floor, dazed, landing face-first. Before he could collect himself, the man kicked the side of his head, hitting his cheek. The crowd roared with applause, as the rifleman seemed to be put in his place, and the newcomer seemed to revel in it, distracting him. Angry now, Iemasa stood to his feet, ramming his heel into the back of the guy's knee, and slamming the butt-end of the rifle into the back of his neck. The man fell forward, and Iemasa stepped on his back, slamming his rifle into the sides of the guy's head over and over, until his ears began to bleed. "You don't know who you're fucking with, do you?!" After a moment of the beating, the guy was crying for Iemasa to stop, and the man knelt down, taking the guy's head in his hand. He lifted it up just so he could whisper in his ear, "You shouldn't turn your back on your opponent." With that, he slammed the guy's head into the ground, and dragged him out of the ring.
"Next?!"
Iemasa faced the crowd, and some of the people seemed scared. The fighting would continue for the rest of the night, and Iemasa saw a good deal of victories, because he was so much faster than most of the people there. Not once did he actually fire his rifle, but boy, did he want to.

"Alright, get to work. We need this place looking fucking AMAZING by daybreak."
Iemasa ordered a group of men to go around the village, tending to the villagers' needs and fixing any and all problems they saw or thought of along the way. There was no excuse for the place looking so shoddy - they were in Oda territory, the place may as well look like it, and who better to fix it up than Oda's people themselves? The villagers were asked to stay indoors, unless they felt they needed to assist in the rebuilding of their homes. For the most part, Iemasa and his unit would do the jobs, and with no complaints.
First off, Iemasa would start with shoveling snow out of the main roads of the village. This was entirely too long of a process, however, given the pile-up of snow, and how little men Iemasa actually had. The shovel he used was strong, though, making it a little easier. He would pile the snow into wheelbarrows, and then carry the wheelbarrows out to the borders of the village once they were full, dumping them and repeating. It took about two hours to get all of the snow, and by the time he was done clearing it out, his arms and back were sore. But, he still had a lot more to do. No point in getting tired just yet.
Once he was done with the snow, Iemasa decided he was going to get some firewood for the people. The cold would be harsh to them, after all, and they needed to stay warm. So, he had three of his men follow him, two with wheelbarrows, and one with an ax, to the forest on the outskirts of the village. He and one of his men would begin chopping down a tree and shaping the chunks into planks, placing those planks into the wheelbarrows, and having those wheelbarrows carted into town. He would spend another few hours working on that, before they felt they had enough wood. Once they finally did, Iemasa would personally evenly distribute the wood to each home, giving people amble firewood to last the next month at least. By now, Iemasa's body felt like noodles, but he still felt he had things to do.
Taking a pickaxe and a few men out to a quarry, Iemasa came to the conclusion the village needed a well, rather than making trips to the river often, seeing as it wasn't a comfortable distance away. So, he would break stones into pieces that could be lifted easily, and tried his hardest to give them a pretty convenient shape, as well, for placing and shaping the well together. After a few hours of gathering stone, the unit brought it back to the town and began digging up a spot for the well, connecting it to the river. That process took an additional four hours, and building the well itself took another one. So far, Iemasa had spent more than half the day trying to put the village in a better spot.
The last thing Iemasa wanted to do before he headed out was reinforce the houses. He'd brought some materials in a carriage from Owari that arrived just before sunset, and he was beginning to put them to use. Each one of his men would fix a home, reinforcing the walls, roof, and doors. Shaping the materials properly took a good deal of time, but they needed to be sure no wind would pass through the walls, and heavy winds couldn't take the houses apart.
After a long day of work, Iemasa and his unit would share a meal with the village in good-will. They would have small-talk and enjoy themselves for a time, getting to know the people under their care. Once the meal was done, Iemasa took his unit and rode back home to Owari. Just one village was taken care of, and he had a lot more to go after this. It was going to be a long month.

Name: Tokugawa Iemasa Faction: Oda Age: 18 Gender: Male Height: 6'2'' Weight: 201 lbs Eye Color: Hazel Hair Color: Brown Appearance:Iemasa bears a striking resemblance to Ieyasu, though there is no actual blood relation. His body is tall and muscular, as well as very toned. Just above his right hip is the tattooed Mon of the Tokugawa clan. Personality: Iemasa is a very strong follower of both the Oda and the Tokugawa. His love for them is undying, and his loyalty unwavering. When one would question the motives of either, he would defend them with his life, no questions asked. Socially, Iemasa is a fun guy, getting involved with people and letting himself have a good time. Though, some would say his kind nature is a facade, due to his tendencies to be cruel at times. Though, this is simply due to the fact he is bipolar, though such a thing would be hard to diagnose. In combat, Iemasa is unrelenting, and he will shoot to kill. He has many qualms with killing, but in the times he lives in, those issues need to pushed aside for self-preservation. History: Originally an indentured servant to the Matsudaira clan, Iemasa was born Amaru Kyojin. He lived in poverty, and was treated poorly by the men who owned his family's land. His mother and sister were treated as whores, and he and his father were forced to work their whole lives. The only one of the Matsudaira clan they truly liked was Matsudaira Takechiyo (later Tokugawa Ieyasu), who bore a very strong resemblance to Amaru Kyojin, and the two ended up behaving like brothers. Not long after Kyojin's servitude began, the Matsudaira clan was forced to offer their allegiances to one of two daimyo: Oda Nobuhide, or Imagawa Yoshimoto. The clan was split in half, one half going to Oda, and the other to Imagawa. Those who left to the Oda changed their name to Tokugawa, and they were led by their new daimyo, Ieyasu. Kyojin's family merged with the Tokugawa, no longer needing to live a life of servitude. Now equals with Ieyasu, Kyojin took on the name of Tokugawa Iemasa, to symbolize brotherhood, despite no real blood relations existing between the two. To this day, Iemasa bears the Tokugawa Mon on his skin and fights under the banner of Oda, as a reminder of the two men who tore him from his life of poverty and brought him into importance.
