QUEST:
The Battle of Okehazama is up, and round one is about to be over! Anyone who hasn't joined but wants to, you've got very little time left!
GMing:
In regards to GMing, it seems that there is A LOT going on. Before my week of inactivity, all I was doing was GMing, and during that week, all Kenshin was doing was GMing. I humbly ask that people start doing more social threads, seeing as 90% of the moving threads so far are all GMed. I hate to do this, but if people don't cool it with the amount of GMed threads, I'm going to start imposing limits on how many you can do, and when. Let's avoid that, please.
ACCOUNT CLEANING:
In the coming week, I'm going to be throwing up an Activity Check thread. THIS IS GOING TO BE IMPORTANT. You're going to want to post the name of all of your active accounts if you want to prevent them from being deleted. This is being done because there are far too many accounts that have been made that have been left unused.
HELPERS:
Another thing that will be thrown up in the coming week: Staff Applications. We're looking for some help to handle GMing and other various, small things. The applications will be thrown up asap, and I ask that any member who's been with us for a while sends one to us.
FACTION DECISIONS:
There seem to be a few instances where people just decide the fate of faction relations without prior consent of the Daimyos of either. This is NOT okay. While we appreciate members getting involved to try and steer the plot, these NEED to be discussed with the Daimyos before being done, because it could heavily help or hinder their plots. Please be considerate.

Love the detail you put into the Maki one the most. Pretty awesome, man. His hips are a little off, though, but for the most part, your proportions are spot-on. Good job.

I can give a fuller opinion on the strategy thing later. For now, though, I believe it puts player factions at an incredible disadvantage due to their lack of possible players, while the GMed factions (Oda, Takeda, etc.) have anywhere from five to 17+ officers they can use for different strategic purposes. I'm all for growing in different aspects, but, much like other proficiencies, if we did implement these, I would rather not limit them.
There's an RP Request sub-board in the OoC people can use. Almost no one has.
People don't have to buy non-stat attire. If they want to make some in the custom item shop, that's fine, but you can basically say your character is wearing whatever you want them to. The inventory is only there for your stat items. This doesn't mean you're stark naked at all times because you have nothing in your inventory, and it doesn't mean that characters can only wear what they have in it.

Takehiro would be able to take out about 15 of the soldiers, before they had him surrounded on all sides! They did not attack yet, however!
Hideyasu and the land forces would take out all the Yoritomo forces around them, before the second ship docked and the forces poured out, overwhelming the Hojo men!

The wave of Satsumaru's fan kept the group of bandits pushed into a single group, allowing his volunteer force to charge unhindered! Fifteen bandits would be slain in the endeavor, along with three volunteers. However, Satsumaru's force held the advantage!

Shou would find himself near the soldiers' tents! They stretched for a while, maybe a mile or so, before Shou would be in the clear. If he tried escaping, however, Shou would find his body returning to view!
He was forgetting all about the other Takeda soldiers the Miki man mentioned he held in his camp!

Maki would hold the beasts off for a time, but they would spit their ice spikes at him, knocking his weapon away and stamping out the fire! They would all charge at him, and as they did, he would feel the heat in his body grow to an unbearable point! Once his eyes were opened, it would seem his body was... different! He could bring the flames back, with his own will!

As Shou jumped into the tent, it flapped open, and he would disappear! The guard ran in after him, but looked terribly confused! The man who'd branded him before looked curious, staring up at his guard with a raised eyebrow.
"... well go get him."
"I, I did, sir. I swear -"
And then they began to argue! The guard held open the flap of the tent, looking outside, but Shou was nowhere to be found! Turns out he's invisible.

Maki would find, as he slashed with his Guan Dao, that the flames from the large bonfire in the center of the village would flow with his strikes, and the beasts shrunk back in fear!

The guard cocked a brow, cursing after Shou's remark. The single rice cake he was about to be given was thrown on the ground and stepped on. The guard ripped the gate open and slammed the rod into Shou's sides and legs, simply for making a demand.
For a second chance, he was already starting off bad.
Once he was in the sunlight, Shou would begin to feel a strange sensation overcoming him. If he was watching his feet, he could swear - just for a moment - they disappeared.

The Miki man let out a light-hearted laugh, and so too did his men. But before Shou would feel any burning sensation, he would be met with a strong kick to his nose, breaking it and sending him backward. The man would walk forward, still smiling. "You woulda talked, we would've let you and your friends we've got live the rest of your lives in peace, still in Shinano or Kai, just under the banner of Miki or Uesugi. But you had to play it tough, didn't you?" With a sigh, the man would place the prod against Shou's neck, burning the Mon of the Miki into the skin. Immediately after, a man would walk up with a blade, and cut Shou's head off.
And then, Shou would wake up back in the cell. "Wake up, Takeda scum." The same guard from before barked. Maybe he'd see the forehead rock coming this time. "On your feet. You won't be getting any rest for a while."

"They're ice monsters, stupid!" The boy shouted, thinking Maki's statement was to them.
As the monsters approached, the boy tried to hold them off with his torches. They roared in fear, but slapped them right out of the boy's hand before kicking him into the fire! He got out one shriek, but then he seemed to stop moving. Maki was surrounded, now, and that familiar heat was overwhelming.

The patrols being as lazy as they were, Brandt's tactic was overwhelmingly successful! The new patrols didn't even realize their buddies were just murdered, and the old rider for the carriage was unconscious in VERY tall grass.
"Oy, what do you have in there, friend?"
"He's a tall "friend" ain't he..."
Two guards approached him inquisitively, like they had all the carriages before him.

As Shou spoke, the man would nod, returning to the furnace. "I don't want to discover them myself, that defeats the purpose of a knowledgeable preemptive strike. See, you know where they are, but you won't tell me." He would pull the prod from the furnace, returning to Shou. Taking a seat on his throne right in front of the courier, he would smile once again.
"I'll give you... one more shot."

Maki would feel an unbearable heat wash over him from out of nowhere, and due to the sudden temperature change, he would feel weak! "Then perhaps I should have just let you die." The voice sounded like the boy's, though it was in his head. And, as soon as he looked over in the kid's direction, the heat would go away.
Maki now had his weapon, but the beasts weren't exactly leaving.

The man smiled, not answering any questions Shou had. Instead, he stood to his feet, walking over to a furnace.
"As I'm sure you know, both of our territories share a border with the Uesugi." He seemed to muse, taking a prod from the furnace and nodding, before placing it back inside. "It is my belief that, should my people assist the Uesugi in the demise of the Takeda, that we would split the territory and gain half of Shinano. That would be nice for us, don't you think?"
With a smile, the man walked over to Shou, patting him on the head. "You're going to tell me everything you know about your lord. Tactics, troop size and location, all the works. Or I kill you."

Maki would find he didn't need to hurt himself! The beast jumped back in fear, landing in the fire itself! With a terrified shriek, it would melt, but more would pour in from the sides of the village! The boy would grab another torch, now holding two, and would hold them out in front of himself.
"Come on, Mister. Everyone else is scared. I need your help."

The guards patrolling the perimeter seemed to be the ones inspecting the carriages, though they did very little. They would simply ask the riders what was inside and wave them on through. They also seemed to switch patrols every half hour, but the group meant to come outside and resume duty was always about five minutes late.
The guards at the entrance seemed to stay at their post the entire time Brandt was watching.

As he approached the tent, Shou would find the rod jabbed into his kidney before he was kicked inside. Within, he would see a man bearing the mon of the Miki, the faction in the territory just northwest of the Takeda.
"Takeda boy... Does your lord know where you are, right now?"

Not entirely sure what he was feeling was real, it was logical for Maki to think he was hallucinating!
The ice beast charged at him, aiming to rip his neck out, before it was stopped by a villager! A young boy, holding a torch in his hands! The creature roared as he stepped toward it, and it seemed to be terrified of the fire!
"Get up, Mister!" The boy spoke, handing him a torch. "Warm yourself up and help out, here!"

Shou would feel the iron rod from before pressing into his back. The men surrounding him would move out of the way, just so he could walk forward.
"Move."
He wasn't told which direction to move in, but it was logical to assume "forward." There were a good deal of tents out that way, and there happened to be a rather large one just a few meters ahead of him. It looked important.

Shou would find it was not poisoned! The leaf on it was, in fact, to give it flavor, and it tasted damn good for prison food. Not long after he finished, the gate would be unlocked, the guard would step inside, and Shou would find a large iron rod crashing into the side of his knee.
"Go on! Move!"
He was being directed outside of the cell, and out of the prisoners' area. Taking him by the wrist, a wooden door would be kicked open and the guard would throw Shou out onto the dirt, the sun almost blinding him. He would find himself surrounded by guards.

Satsumaru would find, as the bandits were within sight, that there were at least eighty. They would walk along the road, completely oblivious to Satsumaru's ambush, and, as he gave the signal, the volunteers would begin to fire. The first wave took out thirty men, no problem, and the bandits were in shock, their actions delayed. This gave the volunteers enough time to nock a second arrow and unleash a second volley upon the men, this time killing another twenty! The rest, however, rushed into the trees, looking to kill the ambushers!
