Takehiro and Haji: Haji was able to hold the guy off long enough so that Takehiro would be able to swing by and decapitate the motherfucker! Haji was free!

Katsumi and Yukimura: Yukimura would impale the creature atop him and launch the body in Katsumi's direction. This caused the creature atop her to stumble, allowing her to switch positions with it and cut the monster's throat!
- 2 Creatures
The room seemed clear of hostiles, at this point. The path to the chest was open, leaving the group to take the loot!

Nagahide fell to the floor from Yukimura's strikes. As he attempted to come back to his feet and Yukimura tried to impale his stomach, however, both of the bounty's blades would catch the spear and push it to the side, burying it into the snow next to his stomach instead. From there, he would push off the ground and send two powerful kicks into the man's stomach to knock him back and put some good distance between the two, and separate Yukimura from his spear.
He would hold both blades tightly, waiting for the samurai to make his move, instead of attacking first.

As the woman rose her bow, she would find her arm being thrown back with the wind, and her hold on it was loosened. It would fly away due to the fierce winds, quickly gaining altitude, but creating a VERY dangerous obstacle in the wind. She would have to think of another way inside, considering she wasn't going to be able to fire anymore arrows.

Takehiro: The mercenary was lucky! His punch connected, shattering the crawler's skull, and it's thrown body served as a good distraction for the others! As he leaped, he successfully impaled a second crawler, and his explosive fists destroyed the skulls of the other two! TANK!

Yukimura: Yukimura's tactic worked, and the katana flew right into the forehead of one of the creatures! It fell to the floor, deceased, and the second one roared angrily before leaping toward him, aiming to strike him to the ground!
- 1 Creature
Haji: The move was successful, and the creature he aimed at fell to the ground once more, re-dead! The second one, however, leaped through the air and slammed its feet into Haji's chest, shooting him back and slamming him into the ground! His weapons would have fallen from his hand, and the boy would find himself pinned once again, with the creature sitting on his stomach! If he did not act quickly, he would find a hail of fists storming utop his face without relenting!
- 1 Creature
Katsumi: The woman reacted quickly, impaling the creature's head and re-deadifying him! Though, just as she landed, she would be headbutt by the last creature, knocking her back and to the ground as well, next to Haji. Though, her bow was still in her hands, and she could defend herself! The creature would try and pin her down, and if successful, he would claw at her face until it was nothing but raw meat!

If you've still got posts to make in this thread, that's jolly. Go ahead and post after this, since it needs to be here for the participants in the fight to earn their stat points. So let's get to it.
Katsumi: Good reactions, very sensible. Made good use of the distance between you and Maki, and it was good how you made attacks to keep him from going without really trying to kill him. That showed some nice character.
Maki: Stat-wise, there were a lot of things that put you at a disadvantage. Katsumi was a hell of a lot faster than you, so even trying to fight against her is commendable. He never got a hit in, though, and some of the descriptors describing his speed or how hard he was to track didn't really fit, because of the difference in Wis between Maki and Katsumi. The determination was cool, though, and really understandable. But he was really out of his league.
I have trouble really calling this a "duel" and awarding points, considering it was really short and there wasn't much of an exchange of blows. Though, this once, I'll be generous.
Both participants receive +1 exp to use as they wish.

The arrow would make it through, hitting the orb once again. The wind faltered a second time, and the woman would make it through the barrier successfully. However, before her feet hit the ground, they picked back up, whipping the woman along with them. She would find herself being slammed into a tree, knocking the wind out of her, but it gave her a means of stability instead of flying around the building aimlessly until she died.
Within ten feet of the house, the wind seemed to have no effect.

The arrow flew through the wind, veering slightly off course. Eventually, it would strike the orb, and for a small moment, the winds died down. Just as quickly, they picked back up, however, whipping everything around even faster now that they previously had. She had the right idea.

Yukimura would avoid having his fingers cut off, but he was not entirely successful with his maneuver! Nagahide seemed slightly faster than the samurai, and was able to draw his blade, deflecting any strikes Yukimura threw at him! Yukimura was able to avoid the belly slash, however.
Nagahide spun both of his swords in front of him in figure eights and charged at Yukimura, using the blades to parry any thrusts or slashes of the spear. Once he was close enough, he would kick at the samurai's stomach, and launch both of the blades into his shoulders.

Across the path, Katsumi would find a large house, and it was all the path would lead to. There was no way around it, so it would seem as though this was her goal. She needed to get in there for whatever reason.
The house was surrounded by even fiercer winds than the ones she was walking alongside. Within thirty yards of the building, it seemed like anything that wasn't built into the ground would fly away to their death.
A small orb was floating above the house, as well.

The wind itself seemed to manifest into a single faceless body in front of the woman. All she would be able to make out was a smile, and arms outstretched, as if welcoming her to this plain.
"You may know me as Fujin, and you are here because of one simple thing: It seems to me you are one soul capable of harnessing the power you see before you. I wish to test this, and see if it is true, based on what I have observed. I ask that you proceed along this path and complete the tasks that fall before you. May you be blessed by the seven lucky Kami in your endeavor."
The figure of wind would bow respectfully toward her before dissipating. The wind surged toward the path, as if urging her to go forward. It wasn't as though she had much of a choice, considering it was the only way to go, unless she wanted to leap off the mountain.

The winds were fierce high atop the mountain ranges of Japan, and it seemed they would not let up. The environment within the winds seemed used to it, as if it required the harsh winds to thrive, and support the lush green that grew atop what would otherwise be just mineral.
Katsumi would find herself upon this mountain path completely out of nowhere. She would be attending to her everyday business, and as if she teleported to another land, she would appear here, the scenery changing completely with a single blink. The harsh winds would be enough to push her aside, were she not careful, though she would still find herself capable of moving along this path.
There was no way back from here, just a single road forward, like a road commonly taken by carriage.

Takehiro: The single crawler who'd attacked him initially would find itself decapitated, and the head was thrown into the fray. One was knocked aside, but the other three were still just fine. One of the many rushed Takehiro, leaping up and slamming its head into his chest, knocking the wind out of him and sending him sailing to the floor1 Another leaped over his friends and would land digging his claws into Takehiro's biceps, and looked to chew the man's adam's apple out!

Yukimura: Yukimura was ridiculously successful! His spear impaled one of the creature's skull, quickly eliminating it! It was thrown into the group, knocking each of the three down, and he was able to crush one of their skulls! Unfortunately, despite his success, the other monsters were still faster than him, and quickly regained their footing, though for now they watched the samurai to gauge his movements!
- 2 Creatures
Haji: Haji was successful in punching the creature, and retrieved his swords quickly! He decapitated it, leaving the other two on the ground with gaping wounds in their chests, but they began to stand to their feet once more!
- 1 creature
Katsumi: Katsumi would find the creature weighed much more than she did, so it would be a struggle for her. After a time, she would find herself digging the blade into its neck and slaying it, but by then, another would already be rushing her! She would have just enough time to see one creature charging toward her legs, aiming to slice at her kneecap and tendon!

Takehiro: The sweep managed to knock away the first two who charged, and they in turn fell upon two others, knocking them back. One of the five was unscathed however, and it leaped over Takehiro's blade, reaching down with it's clawed feet and slicing at the mercenary's shoulders! They would be cut and bleeding quite a bit, but they were thankfully nothing serious!
Yukimura: Yukimura was successful in knocking the bunch away, and fell toward the walls! The force was all that affected them, and they seemed to ignore the pain, quickly regaining their composure and charging him in a mob!
Haji: Haji's sword dance knocked two of the undead down, but the last one backed up. As he stabbed their hearts, they seemed to be unaffected! They held the blades in place as the last one went to tackle the white-haired boy!
Katsumi: She was able to get a single arrow off successfully, but the second missed entirely! The two undead who were unwounded by the arrow continued their charge, one of them being swatted to the side with her bladed bow, though the other caught it, his hands clearing being ripped apart by the blade!

As Takehiro neared the chest with his group behind him, once more, they would all hear deathly shrieks filling the air. Ten more of those creatures they'd just fought were running along the walls, just as swiftly as they had been previously. They circled the group, finally jumping down to charge the lot. Four of them leaped menacingly toward Yukimura in the back, three charged Katsumi, and three charged Haji. Before Takehiro would be able to react and save his team mates, five dark circles would appear on the ground in front of him, and another breed of creatures appeared from them. All five of these crawlers charged the mercenary. The group was effectively separated, putting Takehiro on one side and the other three on another. Each would have to fight their own battle here if they wished to help one another. Creature Stats: Str: 20 Dex: 20 Con: 15 Wis: 10 Spr: 5 Crawler Stats: Str: 10 Dex: 30 Con: 10 Wis: 10 Spr: 5 Current Kill Count: 15 - BRONZE COMPLETED |

Takehiro: The blade of the spear struck the demon in the side of the head, with some killer aim! It fell limp to the ground, and Takehiro successfully saved his comrade!
- 1 Undead
Yukimura: The kick struck the back of the monster's head, but it seemed unfazed! Instead of falling back, it pushed itself off the sword, ripping its claws away from Haji and in Yukimura's direction! Yukimura would have three cuts along his cheek, and his armor on his chest would have been torn through, leaving a gash across his skin!
Haji: When the monster lashed at Yukimura, it struck Haji's face as well, leaving three gashes across his cheek, one extending over his nose! Though, it left his blade, and he was able to kick it back and cut its head off, after some damage was done to him and his pal!
- 1 Undead
Katsumi: She's safe now! Zombie died.
Current Kill Count: 15 - BRONZE COMPLETED
The doors at the far end of the hall seemed to glow for a moment, until they shattered with an explosion of light and wind. The stench of decay seemed to be cleared from the chamber! Behind the doors, on a pedestal, was a chest of the daimyo's treasure!

Takehiro: The mercenary knocked the two beasts out of the air! His spear impaled the first's neck, ripping it's head clean from its shoulders. He went to strike the other, but it put up a little more of a fight - which didn't mean much. Fortunately, the mercenary was fast enough to cleave this one's head off as well!

Yukimura: The samurai would crush the undead soldier's face, smashing his skull in. As he quickly reacted to the other creature, he was able to impale it through the stomach, which seemed to make barely any difference! It ignored the pain, bearing its claws and gripping tightly to Yukimura's shoulders! As the samurai flung it overhead, it would land on its skull, shattering it and eliminating it! Though, Yukimura had deep gashes along his shoulders, now!
- 2 Undead
Haji: The creature's body would meet the sword, and it would pierce through like butter. It seemed to make very little difference to its mobility, however! Just like Yukimura, Haji would find claws digging into his shoulders, and the creature roared in his face, covering it with even more deathly spit and decay!
Katsumi: Katsumi was able to get a single arrow out, which struck the beast in the shoulder! It performed a backflip in mid-air, landing on all fours, and charged at Katsumi, aiming to tackle her! If she didn't move out of the way fast, she would be tackled and the beast would claw her face, leaving deep gashes!
