This was not exactly going as Kenji would've hoped, though that fact would not hinder him. Relying on his instincts and adrenaline, he rolled out of the way again and, bracing his makeshift weapons over his head, kicked to his feet. He intended to use the momentum of his rise to slam both sheathes down on the nearest piece of the knight's armor as he could. If successful, he'd follow through by attempting once more to disarm the knight of his most righteous nodachi.

Wow! Amaterasu must have been watching over Kenji! He would both successfully avoid the strike as well as destroy the Knight's remaining gauntlet! Underneath would be another mass of dark energy, rather than flesh! The Knight would shriek, and his nodachi would drop to the floor! Additionally, the Knight was stunned and unable to act temporarily!

This was Kenji's chance! Without the slightest hesitation, Kenji dropped his sword sheathes and snatched up the knight's fallen nodachi. Taking the sword into two hands, he swung high diagonally, intending to sunder his enemy's breastplate and helm in one slash.

Kenji would succeed in grabbing the knight's nodachi, but as he went to attack, he would trip on a rock, causing his entire attack to go off balance! The nodachi would scrape against the knight's armor but not sunder anything! The Knight would reach down, grabbing Kenji by both legs and begin to spin before throwing him away like a ragdoll, the nodachi flying away from him!

Now Kenji was flying through the air, and prone to serious pain if he hit a wall. Thankfully, he had not been hit this time, merely thrown, so his ability to stop himself wasn't hindered. Catching himself in the air, he transferred his flight momentum into a downward dive, rolling and coming to his feet just in time to barely avoid smacking into the wall.

"Whoa...! Too close."

With that, Kenji turned to sight in and face off with the knight. Now he truly was disarmed, though his body was a valid weapon. The good news was that the knight also lacked proper weaponry, and was pained by his missing gauntlets. Putting up his arms to shield his head and ribs, Kenji advanced on the knight and looked for an opening to rush in and uppercut his helmet. If, perchance, the knight acquired a weapon and tried to attack, he'd shift to evasion, ducking and weaving whilst still seeking that same opening.

SHORYUKEN! Kenji's copyrighted uppercut would do wonders, utterly sending the knight's helmet flying right off of him! The knight would shriek in agony, revealing even more of that dark energy underneath him! Further more, he was temporarily paralyzed! Kenji had a bit of time to plan his next move or even rearm himself!

Great success! Kenji was winning once again, and he had the opportunity to end it right here and now, if he didn't squander his time. Quickly, he retrieved his Yawarakai-Te and masterwork katana, both luckily near his feet, and settled his stance before stepping toward the knight, intent on relieving it of its breastplate before it could recover from paralysis.

Kenji would pry the armor off halfway before the Knight reawoke, and he would slam his fists down hard on Kenji's shoulders before uppercutting him away again! Luckily, he still had his weapons!

The knight began to glow ominously!

His shoulders hurt, and he was punched away again, but overall, Kenji could've come out much worse from that exchange. He'd even gotten the armor off partway from his foe. That glow, though... Whatever was about to happen couldn't be good. Clearing his mind and breathing out, Kenji concentrated on his next move. He sheathed both his swords, settled into a low stance, and rested his hand on Yawarakai-Te's hilt, sighting in his target.

With no further warning, he darted forth at the knight and unleashed a practiced battojutsu cut.

Kenji would be unable to get his attack off in time! The glow around the Knight would intensify before exploding, and Kenji would be sent flying backwards! He'd feel heavy, weak, and nauseous, like something was eating away at his insides! The Knight began to advance upon him, planning on ramming his fist into Kenji's chest while he was down!

Kenji found himself on the ground again, and this time, feeling horrible. He managed to suppress his sudden need to hurl, but found that the knight was approaching, likely intent on beating him into a fine paste for all the agony he'd put it through. There was no time to let this sickness keep him down, and mustering all the will and fortitude he could, the merc forced himself to roll out of the way of his enemy's fist, then swing with his sword at whatever body part he could reach. Preferably the half-removed breastplate.

Kenji would avoid the strike sent down by the knight, and his next strike would destroy the rest of the knight's armor! The knight shrieked further before it began to slam down on Kenji in rage, sending dark fist after dark fist against the man's stomach! All that were left were the spaulders, but the knight's attacks definitely seemed weaker now...

Blow after blow rained down into his already aching and nauseated stomach, and it was a miracle worthy of the gods that Kenji did not vomit. He maintained his iron will and refused to bend before the weakening knight, waiting for the right opportunity to avoid the knight's fists and swing hard for its spaulders.

The knight would jump back, avoiding Kenji's swords! At the same time, he would reach down and grab Kenji's legs again, spinning him around several times before letting go of him and throwing him across the room! At least he kept his weapons this time!

His stomach still nauseating and bothering him, not to mention bruised by this point, Kenji was, needless to say, a bit preoccupied and unable to fully cancel his fall. He did manage to roll in the air and catch himself on his hands (and sword hilts, considering) to avoid slamming into the floor, though he still felt some of the impact. He forced himself to a stand and turned to face the knight, settling into a defensive stance as he redrew his masterwork katana, once more dual-wielding. His intent was to counter any attack the knight threw at him.

The Knight advanced upon Kenji, swinging it's dark fists wildly! It pushed aside Kenji's katanas, attempting to punch the man in the face again!

As the knight batted his swords away, Kenji felt the terrible sensation in his gut dissipate. He was good to go again! With his strength back, he spun aside the knight's dark fist and pulled both katanas around, intent on using them both as one to carve through his foe's spaulders, or even his dark arm if that was the only available option.
