Kenji would find a dead end! However, there was a chest waiting for him! And nothing guarding it! Score!

He only had two other paths to choose from!

Another chest? Kenji's luck continued to be positive. He looted it, then exited the dead end and proceeded down the middle right path (or the next closest one).

Kenji would find himself walking along a path with a few twists and turns, before having to decide on another choice! He could either go left, or forward! Both paths had a right turn at the end!

Kenji opted to take the forward path, following the right turn while remaining on his guard. Once again, not many thrills.

Kenji would have no issues walking along! He'd come to a couple of turns before once again having another choice to pick from!

He could either go left (and then turn right and go straight, or turn right again)

Or he could go right (and decide between turning left or right here again)

Once more, Kenji stopped to ponder. Left or right... Seemed to be a pattern in this dungeon in regards to all the lefts and rights. He pulled out a yen and flipped it, catching it in his palm and looking down to see what side it ended up on.

Heads.

So, the merc pocketed the coin and headed left. Later down the path, he'd turn right, then proceed straight.

Kenji hit the jackpot! He would reach a dead end, but would find two chests side by side! No enemies to guard them either!

Talk about some serious shift in luck... Once more, Kenji would loot the chests, packing away the goods before heading back down the path. He decided to proceed down what would've been the next right, maintaining his guard.

(( Basically, going down the right path now where I went straight before, if that makes sense. ))

As Kenji traveled along the path, he would be greeted with another option. To continue going straight, or to take a left.

However, as he made this journey, he would be attacked by three more of the Crawlers from before! They would charge at him, planning on stomping him to death!

(OOC: Crawler stats- Str: 10 Dex: 30 Con: 10 Wis: 10 Spr: 10)

A fresh batch of monsters had finally shown up. Kenji subconsciously wondered why they'd taken so long. Pulling the nodachi from his back, he settled into defensive posture, waiting for the three Crawlers to come within its impressive striking range before cleaving the blade diagonally up, intending to cut through all three. If he failed, he'd back off and avoid their attacks while looking for opportunities to counter.

Kenji would successfully cleave through one of them! However, in familiar fashion, his luck wasn't the best! He'd find himself jump kicked backwards onto the floor! And one Crawler would leap into the air, planning on stomping down onto his throat! Oh no!

And back to the questionable turnouts... Kenji abstained from mentally or verbally commenting, instead releasing his nodachi as he dropped, then rolling away from the landing space of the Crawler intending to crush his throat. As he made it away from the stomping foot, he drew Yawarakai-Te and took a swift swing at the monster's leg. If successful, he'd go on to rise to his feet and aggressively pursue both remaining Crawlers.

Kenji's light would slash through the Crawler's leg, and it'd fall over useless, bleeding to death! Meanwhile, since he decided to aggressively pursue the Crawler, he'd succeed! He'd be chasing it down the hall all angry like while it ran in sheer terror until it died of a heart attack! He was free to proceed!

Kenji rubbed his neck before retrieving his fallen nodachi and sheathing his holy sword. That had been a short, but oddly refreshing fight, since he didn't get bludgeoned or stabbed much. Resuming his trek through the maze, he would head straight down the hall to the next branching path.

Kenji would have the option of going left or forward from his original position.

He could hear a mad but familiar cackling resonating through the maze, but he would have no idea where the source was, or even when it would show up, if at all. He was free to proceed as normal, but would do well to keep his guard up!

Kenji tensed at hearing the wicked cackling bouncing off of the maze walls... That Rider was back, and somewhere in this array of aimless halls. He kept both hands on his nodachi and readied himself to strike any hostile entity that came for him, direction regardless, as he advanced down the left path.

Kenji would find a dead end! But another treasure chest! He was making out like a bandit! El bandito! And no sign of the Rider or any resistance!

If he continued forward from his original location, he would once again find a left or forward path. The forward one would turn into a left turn before going forward again.

(OOC: Also, can you keep track of how many treasure chests you have so far so I can properly reward you when the time comes?)
